I know at my former school it was considered bad if you actually took a day off. It was much better being the martyr and going to work sick. How STUPID!!!!!! Take the time you need. When you die, there will be no rewards for how many days you went into work sick. Have you considered talking to your Doc? Many have had good success on a low dose anti depressant for IBS.
