KellyAnn,

As a college student, I can definitely relate to your situation. It is so frustrating not being able to be as carefree about eating and food as all your friends and classmates seem to be. Sometimes, it seems easier to just not eat at all than to "risk it" in tough situations. I agree with the other posters that snacks in your dorm room and backpack are a really good idea. Also, have you looked in to getting a fridge or a microwave? I know that if I would have had to rely on the dining hall alone my Freshman year, I probably would have ended up keeling over in all my classes! Seriously, that food can be pretty foul, not to mention the stressful eating environment...
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I understand. It may take time, but trust me, you'll adapt. In the mean time, don't be afraid to ask for help ("whining" is what the boards are here for! ) and do your best to nourish your body during this difficult transition.

Take Care,

Julia
