Re: what's out there for people with D....       08/30/05 03:09 PM Edit Reply Quote lalala Reged: 02/14/05 Posts: 2634 Yeah, if you're still having to take four Imodium and that doesn't always help, it's probably time to get something stronger (if your colonoscopy turns up nothing except IBS--good luck with that by the way ). I mean an anti-depressant; one of the side effect of the tricyclic ones is supposed to be constipation. Heather talks about them here and here. I've tried them before, for about a year, but I didn't like the other side effects. There are different kinds too (various tricyclics and SSRIs), and I'm sure your doctor would have suggestions or recommendations. HTH. Take care. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
