Jaime, this has been me in the last little while too - I've hardly EVER had C at all, but since going on the diet now and then I get it. Which probably means that I am (we are) tending towards IBS-A. Mostly this happens for me if I'm eating TOO safe (read: not enough IF) - that makes me swing towards C. Also lots of stress can swing me that way sometimes - mostly because when I'm stressed I do damage control by eating really safe, and if I'm not eating enough IF... you get the picture.
But eating foods that would normally trigger D is really NOT A GOOD IDEA! Why? Because, well, it gives you D. And then your gut is totally destabilized, and often you swing back to C, and then back to D, and back to C... and, well, yikes. That's a really difficult cycle to get out of.
Better advice is to probably just increase your SFS and your IF intake a bit, get lots of exercise and drink lots of water - that usually works for me and after a few days I'm usually back to normal. Your goal is to STABILIZE your gut and make it happy, not to freak it out even more.
