What "enriched" means...       08/17/05 10:23 AM Edit Reply Quote lalala Reged: 02/14/05 Posts: 2634 Refined/white wheat means that the wheat has had the bran and germ. By removing the bran and germ you lose a lot of the vitamins and minerals found in wheat. So enriched wheat flour means that iron (and sometimes calcium) and vitamins are added back in. HTH!
