Hi everybody

Another week without D!
It was a tough week for me because I had to take an airplane from Montreal to Winnipeg and I'm still so unsure about my IBS. The trip went well, even if I only slept 2 hours the night before because I was so nervous. Getting home was a great stress reliver for me (my bed is so conformtable!) and getting back to my work helped to get my mind on something else than IBS for awhile, but I still remain on alert.

So, I stuck mostly with SF foods this week. Think I had schimps once or twice (I tolerate them well). I tried to expand my diet with all the SF on Heather's list (beets, mango smooties, safe cereal, rice milk, rutabagas, potatoes, carrots and others). Tried to introduced IF by putting a little bit of fresh herbs in a carrot soup (it went well!), put soya sauce in my pasta and fish sauce in my rice. Stools were regulars and firm all week.

I still take half a Imodium every morning. I have gradually incresead my SFS to 12 grams a day. My goal is to go between 15 and 20 grams eventually.

Since I got back last wenesday, I started to get C. Did not go for almost 3 days. So I started to introduced more IF in the last 3 days in the form of a pear bread. Yesterday at lunch, I had crepes (made with rice milk, egg whites and flour). After all that, was still C. So I decided to have a homemade tomato sauce with my pasta last night at dinner. I think it got me going!!! Because right after, I was able to have a firm stool with some effort. This morning after breakfast, I went again and had an abundance of relatively firm stool. Still was a bit nervous, so here I am again. While I was reading posts, I started to have spasms. So I got up and went to make myself some funnel tea (my wife loves it too and she doesn't even have IBS!), the spasms went away!

I tried to put in place the «eat like a hobbitt» policy of Sand this week. Yé for pretzel! Does anybody have other suggestions about more healthy safe foods that you can bring with you while you are travelling. Going to Philly next week for a conference, getting nervous about it...

Still very much afraid of introducing IF and a little bit of fat. What do you guys think?
