Maybe the IF would go down easier if you cooked, pureed, and chopped. For example, try blueberries in a mostly-SF smoothie, where they're well wrapped and beaten to death. Or Heather's Zucchini bread, where the little bit of IF in the zucchini skin is shredded, cooked, and surrounded lavishly by SF. (There's also fat in the bread, so be aware of that as another possible trigger.) I was terrified of naked IF for months, so I stuck to recipes where it was broken down, cooked, and/or hidden in lots of SF.
