Ok, first off .. it seems like there are rules that apply to IBS-D, but not to IBS-C .. and vica versa. This is really confusing me, as it seems like a lot of the directions on the website lean towards IBS-D .. which means that there are certain foods that I am avoiding that could be helping my C. Also, I keep reading little IBS diet revelations in every post that I see. Things I didn't read in heathers directions. Liiike, how a certain food can be a "safe" food for you, but only if you have it every now and then. Or, how IF is worse for IBS-D, but that it can help IBS-C? I'm just really confused. I feel like I need a very specific day-to-day plan from the very beginning. Because I start the BTC diet, and I will go by what Heather has written on the website .. but then I will read something somehwere else that is the complete opposite. Like, oatmeal being a trigger. What?? Its listed on the BTC diet. And then I read that there are "safer" ISF's to begin with. I would have thought everything was the same. How do you know what is an easier ISF and what isnt? I'm sorry for all my questions. This is just very overwhelming for a newbie ... or at least for this newbie. Is Heather's book more explanatory on all of this? Does it go into more detail on what steps to follow, and what specific ISF's to start out with? Does it talk about certain foods being bad for one type of IBS, but ok, or even helpful, for another?
AAACK! Soo many questions. Good luck trying to fish one out of there to answer!
*SIGH* why can't we just poo normally!!!
