I put them in oatmeal and cookies. They are pretty much like raisins. Good luck finding whole ones! All I can ever get are the chopped, sugared ones. Figs too BTW. I cannot ever get them in MN.
Another thought: If I had to guess I would say dates have the least IF of the dried fruit. They just about disappear in sticky toffee pudding.
