I'm new to this site, but I've got some questions. A couple years ago I was diagnosed with IBS. The doctor told me to try to treat it with my diet. But he gave me no practical advice as to what to eat/what not to eat. So 2 years later I was back at the doctor because I was still suffering. This time he prescribed me Librax. At first I was glad that maybe I would finally get some relief. But then I started reading about Librax, about how it can become addictive and some of the side effects. I decided not to take it right away and started researching alternatives. That's when I came upon this site. I like the idea of eating right to control my symptoms. And now it seems I have some practical information that I can really use. So I've started to put the ideas into practice. Although it is hard, because some of my favorite foods are no-no's. But if it works, it's worth it.
But I am wondering, who else has used Librax? Do you think it is worth it? Do you need it when you are sticking to the diet? I need some sort of affirmation that I am doing the right thing.
