Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Question for those that remember the early days of when IBS started for you...

Here's the situation;
Last October I started having D everyday. Went to the DR because there was blood and mucous(sorry so graphic) in it. He ran tests and everything came back normal. We decided that maybe the blood(which had stopped by then) might have been caused by all of the Advil I was taking for my back. However the D continued, as did my anxiety(which grew worse and worse) at leaving the house and not finding a bathroom. I quit my job at the end of February, partly in hopes of getting a handle on this. I finally found this website in March or April and began the diet. Finally was able to get somewhat stable, but still had trouble with anxiety. Put on AD in May, with great success, anxiety way undercontrol.
Here's what I am wondering about. Before last October, I had some problems with bloating and horrible gas. Now since I have started the diet and cutting things out that are triggers, the D in under control but it seems like the gas and bloating just keep getting worse and worse. Is this the way it started for anyone else? It just keeps getting worse? It seems like now, almost everything I eat( except my AM oatmeal) causes the most awful gas I have EVER smelled. I had my first GI appt yesterday and he has scheduled me for an Endo and a colonoscopy along with a biopsy for cealic sprue, for next month. He said he wants to eliminate everything else that hasn't already been done through all of the other tests my GP has done. Does this sound about right? Anyway, I was just curious if this is the way it starts, though realistically, I think I've had it much longer, but was always C with some gas and bloating before.
