Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Ring shopping for our engagement made me sick! (HELP!)

my dbf and i went to shane co. yesterday to size me for a ring and pick out a ring for our engagement.

While we were looking my tummy began cramping....i thought i was going to get sick, so i excused myself...but was ok..my palms were sweating, my feel were sweating (my hands and feet always sweat, but it was like out of control yesterday)....then about 10 minutes later, i asked to sit down, hoping that would ease my tummy....not so much, i got d....luckily where i was suppose to...after having 2 imodiums. so i tried to calm myself down...and thelady showing us the rings was trying to ease my nervousness...and my dbf was too....he thought it was funny that i got giddy on our way...then all nervous when i was in there...which is funny, because it's out of character for me...i'm not much of a romance, but my dbf has brought out ALOT of lovey cheesey feelings i always thought was hollywood.

to get to the point...how in the world am i going to get married when i get so crazy nervous looking at rings?!?!?! i can't ask my guests to hold on a minute, i need to use he restroom!!! we arne't planing anything big, just family (family is pretty small) and a few close friends....but still....just thinking about it yesterday made me so nervous!!

like i said, it's wayyyyy out of character to get so nervous...and it's not a bad nervous, it's like an excited nervous, because i know that i want to be with him for the rest of my life, and that if anyone was made for eachother it's him and i...no doubt...

but what can i do to ease myself??!?!?!? he is totally understanding and supportive about my ibs deal, but it still can be embarassing and annoying!!
