I've had blood before, and although it is alarming, it was only from straining. I tore up the inside of my rectum.
If it is continuous, or inside the stool, I would check it out further. But it's probably what your doctor suggested if you've had tests for it already.
Mine went away after a few days though, not months. I don't know if it's because you are more constipated or pushing more than I did?
If you are really worried, call your doctor and insist that he look into this. Blood is scary and it is not always best to assume it is something without checking it out.
