The bleeding is not normal at all, and it was always my understanding that any blood in stool is an IMMEDIATE call to the doc! I have had blood before when the doctors prescribed laxatives in prep for my colonoscopies, BE, and other tests-just from irritation. But, other than that, I do think you should have it looked at as blood in the stool is definitely not something to "play around with." I do hope you feel better soon!
