Whoa! Who told you to take Advil for Fibro? The good thing about that is that it's an anti-inflammatory...but with fibro we have no inflammation! And it kills your tummy. Try switching to Tylenol-Plus (which also has a slight constipating effect). And if you get inflammation in your back for some reason, use an Ibuprofen gel instead of capsules (you can use this at the same time as the TYlenol-Plus btw).
You are in an extremely high risk category for IBS with fibro so it's very liekly that this is the problem. However, it is still VERY important to get checked out properly, so book and apt with your GP and get a referral to a GI.
In the meantime, Immodium can be taken everyday as a preventative and works great this way. Normally, I'd say try starting on just 1 tablet before breakfast and see how you do...you can increase the dose (plus take extra for attacks) if you need to. But for this w/e, I'd go straight onto 2 in the morning and if you're still getting D, 2 at lunch, etc, just to stop you up! You might well then need to lower the dose after the w/e to stop you getting rebound C (yep, it does happen with such bad D...I had really bad D, but then turned out to actually be an A!).
Also, read the diet guidelines on this site and start eating for IBS. Soluble fibre foods ONLY for a while with such bad D.
Good luck!
PS. How do they differentiate between your FMS and CFS?
