My guess would be that the general will tend to make you C, but I don't know if that will make any difference to what your GI wants to do later. Hmmm. I'm IBS-D. I'd probably get the general first, figuring it would make me C. Then if my GI wants "clean me out" for a colonoscopy or whatever, that would counteract the C. I'm not sure if that logic would work for you since, if I remember correctly, you're a C.
