The acacia can take up to 2 weeks to help with constipation so you need to be patient. Drink tons of water and get some exercise in the meantime. There is no such thing as a safe insoluble. It all depends on the person. What can be relatively safe for one person can be totally intolerable for another person. You just have to try and find out. Make sure you cook, peel, mash and puree your insolubles, and start with small portions. Work your way slowly back into them and see how it goes. It's a matter of trial and error. If you're worried about gas, you may want to avoid the big gas producers like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflour etc.
