The flower essences effect/harmonize a different sphere of being then the drugs. It works on the pheronome or smell frequency and the taste frequency--that's the best way to describe it. Sort of like manipulating your environment to create a sense of calm, you know like colours and flowers and light and music does. Bach flower remedies tend to align or harmonize you psycho-energetically. It's not nauseating like perfume. It's totally safe to use together.
