Sweet! I will definitely keep that in mind for warmer weather... Adam (my boyfriend) grew up in Maine and says Portland is really nice, but I've never been there, so that's actually on our to-do list. And I'm all about boat tours!

I tend to think calcium supplements are a good idea for just about everybody, but especially women. It can also be a huge help for D (but it's safe for C'ers as long as you balance it out with some magnesium). Ironically, I don't take a calcium supplement, because I have trouble with pills and have yet to find one that's small enough for me to swallow without having to chew it. (Yuck.) So you might be better off trying a search for brands. The only brand-specific thing I know is that Viactiv, those tasty flavored calcium chews, are NOT ibs-safe because they contain dairy. Bummer!
