Sorry that I do not have an answer for you but I have wondered the same thing. I am on a total of 7 different prescribed drugs daily for hypertension, cholesterol & ibs(anti-depressant) and a lot of them have lactose in and I too have recently wondered whether my medication is affecting my ibs. I cannot risk stopping mine though because I do not want to risk a stroke or heart attack due to high blood pressure. (dammed if I do and dammed if I don't!!)
Lets hope somebody reading this has an answer for us both
