It can be debilitating to say the least but having shared with us that you tend to be high-strung consider working on that as well. As I learned to relax and have more peace in my life my IBS symptoms subsided immensley and my family will tell you that I am much easier to be around! Consider the hypnosis CD's that are offered on this site, they may help you. Do be careful with anything addictive...I understand your frustration, I have been there. I have family members in law enforcement (narcotics to be exact!) and some of their arrests have been heartbreaking....girls on soma and other pain medication. It isn't a pretty site. Do you pray?
