However, the Galaxy Veggie brand is a completely different matter. I agree, there are no soy, almond, or rice cheeses that taste good AND are dairy free. Weep. But really, the "vegan parmesan alternative" from Galaxy is safe, and I like how it tastes on cooked veggies and pasta. So, it's a small victory for me in the world of dairy alternatives.
