Re: IS Okra insoluble fiber or soluable?       04/25/05 10:07 AM Edit Reply Quote retrograde Reged: 04/15/04 Posts: 1569 OK, to be prefectly honest I don't know what okra is ...but a good rule of thumb is that if it's mashable then it's mostly soluble. For example, cooked carrots are pretty mashable, as are cooked potatoes - but celery (mostly IF) is not mashable at all. It has something to do with the cellular make-up of the two fibers, I believe.
