I don't know why that is! Maybe dried herbs are more potent and I just add too much? I'm lazy and don't measure things out...so...PROBLEMS! Also, I'm IBS-D, so maybe that makes me more sensitive to the dried herbs?
I thought IF was okay as long as you had SF first or combined it with an SF. For example, if I have pasta and add in a little bit of chopped fresh basil I don't have a problem with it. I avoided IF when I was "breaking the cycle," but I feel I'm pretty much stable so I can incorporate more IF with my food. According to Heather, "You absolutely must eat insoluble fiber foods, and as much as safely possible, but within the IBS dietary guidelines. Treat insoluble fiber foods with suitable caution, and you'll be able to enjoy a wide variety of them, in very healthy quantities, without problem." So, that's what I've been trying to do.
