My last drink was 20 years ago and (as usual) I got very ill afterwards. I'm very restricted when it comes to food and drink maybe because I've had IBS for so long. The one thing I can tolerate, contrary to the IBS diet, is lemon. I squeeze fresh lemon on my dinner every evening. I love it and it doesn't bother me and the Vitamin C probably helps protect me against colds. Oddly, I can't tolerate orange or any other citrus fruit other than lemon. Personally I won't touch anything that I know is going to make me sick. In my opinion nothing, and I mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, is worth a few seconds of culinary enjoyment if you know it is going to result in an IBS attack. I will not waste one more second of my life than I have to being sick from IBS. No way! But if you know you can tolerate something that is not recommended ... then by all means go ahead and enjoy it ... as long as it doesn't make you sick. Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
