Hi Beth! I've never had quinoa before. I didn't know what it was until Nik explained to me on Fri. Then cooincidentally I saw it in the HFS, but bugger me if I'm paying $8.50 for a taste of it!!
As for buckwheat, I eat it either in flour, pasta or ground form. Eg I put a cup of buckwheat flour in my bread mix, or have buckwheat pancakes (yummm!!), Orgran makes buckwheat pasta, or I put a 1/4 cup or so of buckwheat grains in my food processor to break it down a bit, then add to it just about anything.
Buckwheat is apparently quite high in protein so its a good source of high protein fibre (like beans, but baked beans good for your heart, baked beans make you fart!).
I hope buckwheat is safe tho....... I wouldn't know what was and what wasn't lately. Life has become really hard. I jus wish my constant HUGE bloat would go away so I could read my symptoms better.
