I suppose that if the Pink Lady has a higher fructose content, it might be more troublesome.

Maybe you could eat a good bit of SF as a cushion, then try eating a little peeled Pink Lady apple baked or stewed to begin with. If you tolerate that, try eating a little bit raw (peeled, of course, and after SF).
