i had a thought today and wanted to post it--you know how coffee/caffiene is a GI stimulant? and for some it causes D?? well since im always C, when i drink my usual [nonfat] soy latte i always have a BM. but the past few weeks ive noticed that i ONLY have a BM if i drink a coffee. i was wondering if coffee has the same effect as a laxative--the more you use a laxative, the more immune you become to it, thus increasing its dose until it doesnt work anymore. is it possible that my coffee could be having this effect on my BMs? i am SO bloated and just realized how C i am--i havent had a 'real' BM in maybe a week?? and i am in so much pain!! i know coffee is a trigger but ive never had any problem with it. which is why im posting this Q! my stomach is so puffy that it looks like im pregnant its not fair and it makes any other normal thing that i do, so much more difficult--like getting dressed. i just feel so lousy
>>also, i had some acacia ????'s:
1> when you first start taking it, is it normal to have massive bloating and cramps?
2> how many grams of s.fiber is in a half-teaspoon? i read theres 3 grams in a 'scant' tablespoon but am not up to that level yet.
3> how long before it takes effect *usually*??
thanks for any support/advice in advance--i knew youd all understand
