Yes. I've always been interested in research, so, by principle, I'm inclined to think that the less variables in an experiment the better. Still hate to think of myself as the experiment though (although, actually, it's not the first time).
Unfortunately, I think my generation is the generation of the "balanced diet" and the "clean your plate club". Both presumably now bad ideas. Unfortunately, my parents instilled this, so there is a bit of tension and allot of pressure to eat "normally". They don't want me to eat unsafely per se, but there is allot of "well, surely that will be fine". With friends too, the more different kinds of foods they observe you snacking on the less "concerned" they are. For instance, if I were to bring and eat for lunch in front of them each day ridiculously and obviously plain foods, everyone would notice, and then become "concerned". I have allot of health issues already, and because this one is so much less pleasant to describe, I sort of hoped it wouldn't come up. At least, not until I can say "oh well, there's this thing, but it's under control now, so long as I..."
Honestly, I kept to the "breaking the cycle diet" for about two weeks. (It's been Spring Break). Albeit a confusing involving yogurt right at the beginning and then yesterday's disaster, things have been going along alright. I've started to add back in a few other foods now (although probably too many different foods at the same time to be very "scientific"). The breaking the cycle was just *so* low in protein, I've started adding back things like Fat Free Turkey Hotdogs, Tuna, soy products, egg beaters, etc. Oh, and Luna Bars, I've started eating those also. If you have any suggestions on the safest protein choices (and how to eat them safely so they aren't so grim) it would be much appreciated.
