Re: 2 yr old daughter has IBS       03/21/05 01:16 PM Edit Reply Quote Linz Reged: 09/01/03 Posts: 8242 Loc: England A SFS should be fine and is the best treatment for IBS-A, however I'd talk to her GI/paediatrician to work out a dose for such a small child....remember that too much too fast can give a temporary increase in some symptoms, esp. gas. You can mix the peppermint tea with other teas/drinks to minimise the strong flavour. Chamomile is great if she won't tolerate peppermint tho...just make sure you brew it strong. ALso, adding honey makes the herbal teas taste nicer! And I'd really recommend you get "IBS: The First Year". Heather has some great advice for parents and it's such a wonderful book.
