I'm so sorry your daughter is having such a rough time. I can't imagine. It's extremely rare for someone so young to have IBS. It's much more common to have food intolerances and allergies. Was she dianosed by a specialist? If not, time to get her to one. Of course Heather's diet is easy enough to incorporate for a little one. Lots of cooked, mashed veggies, cooked chicken and turkey (white meat). You'll need to get her on a good dairy substitute, though as calcium is so critical. I would suggest soy milk.
But seriously, I am skeptical that she could have IBS at such a young age. You should also talk to your doctor about getting her on a fiber supplement. I don't want to make any recommendations as to doses or what because she's so little. Also insist that she see a food specialist to see if she has any allergies or food intolerances.
