2 yr old daughter has IBS       03/21/05 01:10 PM Edit Reply Quote bugbrains Reged: 03/21/05 Posts: 2 Loc: IL, USA Greetings all. I am brand new to the boards and IBS. Neither myself nor my husband has IBS (runs in his family though) and are truly at wits end knowing how to help our almost 2 year old daughter. She was diagnosed with IBS at around 18 months (though I suspect she has had it since birth). She is IBS-A (mostly D)and has been given an asti-spasm drug - seems to help during nighttime although she stil wakes up screaming in pain at some point most nights after the meds wear off. We have not slept in almost 2 years since she wakes up 2-3 times a night. Any helpful suggestions especially for nighttime would be appreciated. She doesn't seem to care for peppermint tea, but she will drink other kinds of tea. Is it too early to start some find of fiber therapy? Help. PLEASE! Jeanne Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
