...when my IBS got really bad. Heather VV actually suggested the diagnosis first as I was getting aches and pains with every attack. This is pretty common with Fibro...if one of the secondary illnesses flares, it causes an overall flare.

Plus, I've had Fibro for at least 10 years, but it never used to be a problem regularly. Just occasional joint pain or fatigue, etc.

Have you tried Paracetamol (Panadol)? Or Tylenol? These are both very good. A stronger drug is Ultram (combined with Tylenol it's Ultracet) which is probably the best thing available before you get on to the narcotics.
