SPLENDA!!! Argh, is a BAD thing! Its one of the artificial sweeteners that causes D even in non-IBS peeps! Margarine = dairy, which you could be having problems with, everyone is different (but worth a thought) I have soy marg - much tastier too! The pasta dish, as you say had dairy in it, could've been that and definitely the fat - if you are D, you will probably react quickly to it. If you follow Heather's diet to the letter, you will be on the road to recovery. What you need to do is start basically from scratch; what I did was started eating meals that were predominantly soluble, then after a few days start introducing small bits of IF, make sure they are WELL cooked though as it may set you off again, that includes fruit and veggies! I won't go near another book that states "cure your IBS here" because Heather IS A GENIUS!! Its a lot to get your head around, and you have to be patient, but stick at it, even though it is a bit bland, because you will get there! xx
