I make a homemade veggie soup (carrots, parsnip, butternut squash, sweet potato, and pumkin) and add a chunk of fresh ginger root to it. Since the tea has such a nasty effect on me, I was wondering if maybe I shouldn't add the gingerroot to the soup. I do use a small piece, and it is divided amongst 6 servings, so perhaps it is safe.
Maybe I'll try it without next time. But that would probably be pretty bland since the only other seasoning I use is cinnamon and a tiny pinch of nutmeg. Hmmm, not sure about this. Perhaps it is okay since so many safe SF veggies. I will never touch the tea again!
