Re: Daliatree and others...regarding sugar.       03/08/05 04:20 PM Edit Reply Quote daliatree Reged: 07/10/04 Posts: 1176 Loc: Manhattan, New York good for you for wanting to give up sugar!! :-) listen, we live in a quick fix culture where we want pills to fix us and we lack patience...eg it can take a few months of hard hard work to reach a better place...not many people have those levels of stamina these days... there is no easy way to give up sugar...you can decide whether to wean yourself off...(which would involve less extreme symptoms of withdrawal) or to go cold turkey. I am the kind of person that goes cold turkey because I get all inspired and then want to do it immediately!! but everyone is different...as long as you have your ultimate goal its a good thing... the truth is, that once you are over the withdrawal, your taste buds adapt and suddenly EVERYTHING naturally sweet tastes sooo much better...squash, carrots, mango...amazing! plus, mood and energy swings disappear and you just feel so inspired you never look back! its wonderful... -------------------- Feel the fear and do it anyway!
