Is your wife taking a soluble fibre supplement? It's absolutely key for constipation. Acacia, equalactin, benefiber, citrucel are all kinds she can try. Sometimes you have to try a couple to see which works best. Have her drink tons of water. Is she drinking any teas? Peppermint tea is great for pain, bloating, and overall GI disress. Fennel tea (crush fennel seeds 1tsp in a mug of boiling water using a tea strainer) is great for bloating and gas. Chamomile is also an overall good choice. And Ginger tea is good for nausea. Los of people mix the different kinds of tea. For example, have a mug of peppermin tea with some ginger or fennel seeds. I would also print out Heather's cheat sheet. It will get you started in the right direction of what to eat and how to eat. I hope your wife feels better soon.
