I have been using Imodium for about 20 years and it still has the same effect it used to- I don't believe you can become dependent on it, but if you use it alot and then stop, it will take your body a while to get back to it's "normal" rhythms.
I still only take 1/2 or 1 tablet and it will keep me from going for at least a day to two, if not more.
I think it's a miracle drug-I use it only when I need it (after a bad bout of IBS) or for those times I have to have peace of mind.
