At one point in my early 30s I dropped to a dangerous 74 pounds due to IBS agony from an antibiotic I took for wisdom tooth surgery. At the time I didn't know I had IBS and my gastro-intestinal specialist recommended a high-calorie drink to help me gain weight. But when I saw the list of ingredients I was too afraid to try it. I was already getting sick from almost everything I was eating. Exasperated with me, the specialist ordered me to eat a full-sized, round, eight-inch cake a day! I already had blood sugar problems at the time, but he was insistent! I compromised by eating half of an eight-inch cake a day and it took an unbelievable three months of doing this to gain half of a pound! I remember jumping up and down on the scale when I realized I had gained the half-pound! I hope your weight gain will be much faster than mine was! Belinda Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
