Judith, There have been a number of studies about this including one fairly recently that Heather probably has in the Research Library. For some reason, antibiotics do sometimes seem to cause an improvement in the IBS symptoms, but it's never permanent and as soon as the antibiotics are finished it goes back to normal IBS mode.
At least that's what I've read! Hope you enjoyed the couple of days reprieve!!
