Ginger is really the best. If you happen to have fresh ginger in your house, slice some up and put it right in your tea or hot water, add some lemon if you like. My mom even gave it to my grandfather when he was ill from chemo and it helped him a lot.
Hope you start feeling better, and I agree that an empty stomach could be the culprit, so try to eat something.
