I'd say you just proved to yourself that you have IBS, no matter what the doc says! Congratulations on NOT having Crohn's -- that's MAJOR good news. If I were you, I'd just proceed on the assumption that you do have IBS and be good and avoid your triggers. By the way, I once had a six-month run of diarrhea from a parasite I picked up in Brazil. It's entirely possible that both the doc and you are right. It could have been stomach flu and food poisoning messing up your insides big time on TOP of IBS! Feel better, hon.
