Re: Don't have IBS after all...       01/04/05 05:51 AM Edit Reply Quote Unregistered I am a 52 year old female sufferer of ibs.d for over 30 years, having had my gall bladder removed 21 years ago. I was somewhat better after the removal of my gb but over recent years I have been unable to get any stability in my condition. In the last couple of months I have started to take the Acacia fiber and also changed some of my diet as indicated by Eating for IBS. However, the other thing which I have found out from another very helpful website (ibs self help) is that Calcium is a very important supplement when the gb has been removed. When the gb has gone the bile drips straight into the intestines and can cause chronic d. I have just started taking the Calcium so cannot report a positive outcome just yet but I am very optimistic due to all the reports I have read from others in my situation. All the best.
