I had a hida scan that showed that my GB was also not functioning properly-very slowly like Fairy's. My immediate thought was to take it out because I thought this would be the answer to my constant C. If the GB isn't releasing bile, there is nothing to help digestion and get thing going!
My doctor does not want me to get it taken out, however, because he says that chronic diarrhea can be a permanent side effect. So I do not know what to do. I am C with the GB but run the risk of permanent D if it is taken out. But if I keep it, does that mean chronic C?
I have never seen Fairy post in the past month or so don't know if that person is still around, but if so, you have two people who would love to know how you are doing. Do you have any IBS symptoms anymore?
