You're not being a scrooge. I understand not wanting to celebrate when you simply can't. Is there a way that you can go with your own food? Plain turkey breast is safe. If you offer to mash the potatoes, you could use chicken broth instead of milk to thicken them. They'd be safe. Stuffing if it is white bread is usually fairly safe. Cranberry sauce is fairly safe. Cooked vegetables are fairly safe if you eat them with soluble fibre. Just a few ideas, or as I said, bring your own plate of food. If anyone asks, it's up to you how much you want to divulge.
