Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards

I'm brand new to this - what a great resource. My symptoms seem to baffle doctors - both holistic & western... and I'm wondering if I have IBS and if the diet will help. Nothing else has...

I have two primary symptoms. The first is incomplete elimination, almost every day. I'm very regular, it just doesn't all come out and no amount of pushing, etc will do anything. Very uncomfortable. I have to use an enema or suppository to finish the job.

The second is what feels like a blockage in my intestines that backs up everything I eat. (I've been thoroughly checked and there's no blockage). I get bloated and uncomfortable, and am very hungry which indicates to me that food isn't getting through? But, I don't have "pain", just discomfort that spreads throughout my body - very toxic feeling. But no true pain which I read somewhere is a "must" for a diagnosis of IBS.

I've never have diarrhea, nor have ever gone a day without a BM.
