don't be confused- blame the docs... they push high fiber... and ignore the soluble/insoluble issues.. most of us with IBS hae issues absorbing lots of insolubles and they just make things worse, especially on their own or first thing in the AM.. I do cheerios, or rice squares for cereal and white bread or some of the amazing baked items from heathers books and this board... and I can live in the AM.. another choice- what I use when I am working this crazy 5 AM shift here- I start out with applesauce with my SFS in it before I leave home and then eat later.. I can't wait until I've had my BM and relaxed eating and still get here this early... so I aim to have it here and schedule my breaks around my body clock... it works.. and with the high dose SFS I'm fairly consistant on when I have my BM and how frequent they are except when I screw up the diet and have an attack...
