How does stevia relieve constipation?       12/02/04 08:45 PM Edit Reply Quote lithelady Reged: 08/15/03 Posts: 339 Loc: Novato, CA Anyone know how stevia works to relieve constipation? I just learned from this board that someone uses it every AM in their tea and it helps them alot to have a BM. I'm really curious what the scientific reason [like the way it's known that caffeine and decaf contain an enzyme that stimulates peristalsis] is for stevia's ability to stimulate a BM. -------------------- Many years of C-IBS and pain too for past 2 years- Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
