Glad to find this list. I picked up the book "eating for ibs" and am enjoying that.

I am 38 and was diagnosed 20years ago in college with spastic colon. I can't remember not being plagued with cramps, diarrhea, nausea and constipation.
Doctors really not much help.

However it was not till a 1 1/2 ago I really started focusing on eliminating certain foods from my diet.
The bouts where getting worse and lasting longer.
I couldn't get away with as much. I eliminated gluten, and dairy. This seemed to help.

But as things got better I would sneak in something....usually coffee.
But it seems this IBS has progressed to a point now in my life that if I cheat ...I am then thrown into a horrid cycle that nothing I eat is any good and this lasts days.

This last session I'm still fighting with.
Was curious for those of you that slip into these long bouts do you also find that just eating too much, or just a small amount of nerves just sets you back horrid.

The best to you all. Stay healthy, eat right.
Terry
