gastro visit       11/19/04 04:15 PM Edit Reply Quote daliatree Reged: 07/10/04 Posts: 1176 Loc: Manhattan, New York thanks to all of those that supported me in my nerves leading up to todays visit.. so, he was very nice, and listened to me, and yes I cried a bit. he said it really sounds like IBS, but also that I caught giardia in the summer (which I am convinced of) and wonders if I still have a bit left in my system. so first port of call was a rectal swab (that was funny!! ) which showed no blood (I have never bled from my bum thank God) and then blood tests and I have to submit stool samples. Beyond that, I am not sure where it is going to go....but I have decided today that I want to see a psychotherapist to help me get over this fear I have developed of D and the accompanying nausea... thank you all -------------------- Feel the fear and do it anyway!
